How Women Can Impress Men with Boxing Knowledge

The 12^th of November 2011 marks the day on which Manny Pacquiao will be fighting Juan Manual Marquez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Believe it or not, both men also have personal lives and are married to some amazing women.

Manny Pacquiao’s wife is Maria Geraldine “Jinkee” Jamora, who has born him four children called Emmanuel Jr or “Jimuel” named after his father of course, Michael, Princess and their youngest daughter Queen Elizabeth or “Queenie”.  Manny is also a politician, being a congressman for the district of Sarangine, hence his official hometown is that of his wife being Kiamba in the Philippines.  Being a politician, his outside appearance and that of his family is very important and for this reason his wife is a very well known and respected public figure in the Philippines.

Juan Manual Marquez II is also married and he dedicates every fight to his wife, stating that she wants him to win and hence he does so.  Together, they have a son and a daughter.

Both men are dedicated family men and value their wives and children.  Boxer’s wives are not to be compared with the WAGs we know in football.  They are not fashionistas that care only for their appearance and their next designer handbag; and have to be able to watch the men they love get beaten up for the entertainment of others.  Footballers’ wives only have to watch their men run after a ball in shorts and not come to any serious physical injury, whilst they get paid per hour more than most people will earn in a whole year.  This is tremendously different from boxers’ wives of course, whereby the men really have to work for their money and the wives have to bite their nails hoping no serious damage will be done to their husbands whilst they are in the ring.
